Shutter Photo
This photo was taken of a bush with flowers in order to test the shutter speeds. I took this photo in my backyard. I went out in broad daylight, but I used the night portrait. Since I do not have an SLR camera, I had to switch the dial to night portrait in order to get the same effect as a digital SLR. My goal was to see how a photo would look like if I used a different shutter speed. This picture shows color by the green leaves and the white flowers. Variety can also be seen because it appears chaotic. Rather than having a few flowers and a few leaves, the scene is covered with leaves while only showing a few flowers. This throws off the balance and provides variety. The night portrait creates a longer exposure so any movement that I made would have been picked up. This explains why the picture is blurry. The image is brighter because the shutter is open for a longer amount of time which lets more light in the photo, making it appear brighter.
