Ansel Adams Nature Photography

One of our next larger projects was the landscape photos. This area is located at a beach in Pacifica. I took this picture right before sunset. I wanted to go to this beach because most people don't go to this one. They usually go to Rockaway beach because it's prettier. My idea was to come Manor beach and take a picture that shows off its beauty. I went down to the beach and decided to pick an angle to take a picture from. I went back to the top and went to the a side and took pictures. This image shows contrast because the dark areas are very dark, while the light areas are white. This may be seen by the ocean. Its overall body is quite dark, while the edges are white. Unity can also be seen by the way the hill and the ocean complement one another. They make the scene complete, and without one of them this sense of completeness would not be satisfied. In photoshop I burned the sky roughly so that the sky would appear to have more clouds. I also burned the grass and body of water in order to bring down the mood. Symmetry can be seen by the way that the hills seem to come out. This also creates lines within the hill because they come after one another and are faced vertically.
