Candid Portrait

The girl shown in this photo is Courtney Reboltz. This IS a candid photo of her. She was looking at a door on the first floor of the wing. I took this photo a little before eight in the morning. Our assignment was to go around capturing the women of mercy in their natural atmosphere. I took this photo by hiding in a classroom and then popping out when they least expect it. I did not use flash because I knew that if the girls saw it, they would automatically smile or cover their face. By hiding I was able to capture the real spirit of the girls of mercy before school! This photo shows line by the way that the lockers are facing down (vertical) as well as Courtney who is also standing vertically. Asymmetry is also used because Courtney is not in the center, but off to the side on a third line.
